The RR had said to bring him in to see if his wings seemed intact. My Daughter was very happy to help.
He never attempted to move his wings, so I had her gently lift her hand and then descend. It was a great moment to see that his wings did work well!
He rested perched on my chair as I finished examination for injuries.
Despite being unable to fly yet, he could definitely hop well. He caught us off-guard here! Such a great sign that he will be able to fly soon.
Finally! An adult appears to take custody.
A second adult appears.
One of the adults watches me from across the highway as I release him from the cage.
I am dive bombed while walking to the other kestrel I see across the yard. I was never touched.
His beautiful sister!
Finally reunited with his family. They were cautious, but allowed me to photograph them together.
