In January, the Kmart in Glasgow, Kentucky closed. I grew up shopping there, enjoyed many retail adventures with my Grandmother and later my children. I feel bad for the employees, many who lost their job and years of service was forcefully ended before they chose to do so. This gallery shows the somber emptiness and rush to acquire the remaining clearance items during the closing process, one day before the official closure.
